Even better
Well, it's been three years and a bit, but it's time to say goodbye to the place we call home, Bristol. Before we say hello to the other place we call home, Melbourne, there are a few places we need to visit, well, lots of places actually. In preparation, I've re-jigged the blog and Daryl & Heather Overland is born.Don't expect too many photos (it's kind of hard to upload photos while on the road) but expect plenty of juicy anecdotes from our travels through Europe and Asia by train, bus, ship and foot.
And best of all, you can follow our route on the map at the top of this page. Click on the link to the left to bring up a bigger version, or, even better, download it to Google Earth (the link is on the left). A bit more info on how to navigate around Google Maps is in one of my old posts, here.
We'll try and do at least a brief update each time we are online, so keep checking, or, even better, add the RSS feed of our site to your other feeds. If you don't know what an RSS feed is, but you have Firefox, just click on the little orange 'radar' icon on the right hand side of the address bar and you are well on your way. For the more experienced, the RSS feed is:

Now, what if you are dying to let us know how witty and inciteful our latest post was? Easy. At the bottom of each post it says "comments". Click on this and you can type in a comment that will become part of that post. If you don't have a blogger account, just click where it says "other" in "identity" and you can then leave a comment without logging in. Please do leave comments, as it's the only way we know if people are reading our stuff.
You will also notice that there are links on the left to older posts. Click on them for hours of fun.
See you on the road.
P.S. If you are reading this on Facebook, click "View original post" to get the full Daryl & Heather experience.
