Finally some more photos
I just had the opportunity to save all of our photos (1200 and counting) onto DVD, so I thought I'd share all of them with you. OK, you don't want to see that many, and I sure as heck don't want to wait for that many to upload, so here are a few highlights of the last 2 months... (click on the pictures for a bigger version)
Statue Park in Budapest. Communism at its finest.

Prague. Chock full of historical buildings, including this bridge.

Krakow. It snowed a bit.

Auschwitz. Huge, bleak and depressing looking. As it should be.

Chopin in Warsaw. The only word for it is 'dashing'.

Heather's favourite alley in Vilnius. Rustic charm.

Riga. Friendly place.

Heather enjoying her meal at Olde Hansa in Tallin.

Daryl and Antti checking out the sites of Helsinki.

Daryl and Kristie enjoying some Finnish delicacies.

St. Petersburg. The sun made an occasional appearance.

Red Square. Heather is smiling. Three days before and about 100m away she was almost crying. Damn you, stupid Russian policemen!

Our gorgeous cabin on the Trans-Siberian. Gotta love those curtains, and mirrors on both walls.

Smoked fish from Lake Baikal on the Trans-Siberian Railway.

Lake Baikal, Siberia.

Checking out the ice bit of the Harbin Snow and Ice Festival.

Heather on a snow tractor at the snow bit of the Harbin Snow and Ice Festival.

Drinking out of a steamed bun. It was disgusting (hot, salty, floury water), but most of the food in China has been excellent.

The Forbidden City. Magnificent, and nowhere near as hard to get into as Red Square.

The Great Wall... says it all really.

The first bodyguard shop in Pingyao. The last time Heather ever complained about anything on this trip, or else!
